Al Gore Roboto
Written by Matt L.
To the tune of Mister Roboto, written by Dennis DeYoung
Domo arigato, Al Gore Roboto
Made of metal and clay
Domo arigato, Al Gore Roboto
Wear a red power tie
You're wondering what I am, machine or mannequin
I am Bill Clinton's pet, I made the internet
I've got a secret I've been hiding among my kin
My heart is slow, I have no movement, like I'm made of tin
So if you see me moving at all, be very surprised
I just want to run this country, so sometimes I lie
We all sometimes lie - but votes we can't buy
Bush is a twit, a real halfwit
Sure, I'm a robot, without emotions, forget what you see
My opponent's a fool, please don't elect him, his IQ is three....
I'm a war hero, I'm the next savior, forget what you know
I'm just a man who's blatant lying went beyond all control
Beyond my control, Bush is a troll
Lies are all told, Bush is an a-hole
I am a boring man, whose smiles are all canned
So everyone can see my personality
Domo arigato, Al Gore Roboto...domo,domo
Domo arigato, Al Gore Roboto...domo,domo
Domo arigato, Al Gore Roboto...domo,domo
I lie very much, I'm Al Gore roboto
I lost to a fool that snorts much cocaine-o
The problem's plain to see: no personality
I'm stiffer than a board, charisma has been shored
The time has come at last
Florida was the last
Now everyone can see
The new reality
Bush's a crackhead! cokehead! Drunkard!

Interpretation
The 2000 U.S. presidential election, told from the perspective of then Vice President Al Gore. In that election, Gore was often seen as stiff and robotic and caught in lies and exaggerations (like claiming to have invented the Internet). He was eventually beaten by governor George W. Bush of Texas after a hotly contested recount of votes in Florida.
